It was super cool to come across this… Thanks Kimo-Luka for letting folks know.

This is a new business downtown but one you’re familiar with from other places. It’s Fairbanks version of bike share! My wife and I spent the entire afternoon riding around town on one of John’s bikes. We ran into him at the Golden Heart Plaza where he had placed a few bikes to be shared by the hour, month, or more. The bikes are brand new, 3-speed sidewalk bikes with a rear-wheel coaster brake and a front-wheel hand brake. You start by downloading an app (search fairbikes) and follow the instructions to select a payment plan and register a credit card.
It’s a fun way to see Fairbanks — we went out to Pioneer Park and toured along the Chena River and had a blast! My wife and I are in our 70s and this turned out to be a great way to see the sights and get some exercise!
