How Much Does it Cost to Rent FAIRBIKES?


How do I Rent a Bicycle?                 

Download the MOVATIC App to get started. Click on the link below to access and install yours.

Follow Prompts to enter contact information and method of payment.





Our App will help you locate a station where you can rent a bike.





Be sure your Bluetooth and Location is ON.





Select the bike you want by identifying the bike number on the rear fender. Stand to the left of the bike near the bike basket.




The circle will become orange to indicate the bike is available to be rented. Press the circle.









The app will show you once the connection is made. Pull the bike back from bike rack within 10 seconds.






When returning a bicycle, position the tire in the track to line up the black box with the pin on the rack and make sure bicycle is secured. Unsecured bicycles continue to incur fees.


How Do I End A Rental?

In right corner of the screen press the red dot and follow prompts.

Bicycles not secured properly continue to incur fees.

Ending a rental makes it available to be rented again.

We are working to combine these protocols into a one step and will keep you updated.





How Much Can the Basket Hold?

Some have experimented to see just what a FAIRBIKES basket can hold:







                           & cost approximately $60.00 to get replaced.


Are There Day Passes?

Not yet, but check back, we are working with other transportation services in hopes of putting together a pass that can get you around town on two wheels, four wheels, and more.



Where are FAIRBIKES ?

All Over Town! The Movatic App can help you locate stations.


Can I pay with a debit card or prepaid credit card?

Yes and No. Yes to Debit Cards and Credit Cards, but the app doesn’t work with Pre-paid Cards at this time.


How many bicycles can I rent at one time?

On the monthly plan, you can rent up to 2 bicycles simultaneously per plan.

If you are paying as-you-go, you can rent up to 4 bicycles simultaneously per/app-account.

*In either case the individual whose app-account is used to rent bikes must agree to the User Terms of Agreement in the Movatic App and is responsible for each individual bicycle rented on their account regardless of who rides it.



My Bike Did Not Un-lock – What do I do?

Go into the Movatic App and END THE RENTAL. It may be that the 10 second window passed without the bicycle being removed from the lock. Start the rental process again. TIPS: Stand within arm’s reach of the bicycle rack. Ensure the kick stand is lifted. Listen for the lock release click. Pull the bicycle back from bike rack within 10 seconds.



If I am unable to rent a bicycle, how will I know my credit card hasn’t been charged?

John or Jennifer will happily refund your credit if there was a problem with the bicycle not unlocking or mechanical failure.

Please feel free to contact us with the app or by email and we will respond, confirm, and make the refund if you were charged within 24 hours.
